Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions of the Freesat World Cup Hamper Competition (“Terms and Conditions”)

By entering the competition, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree that you will be bound by them.

1. Participation

1.1 To enter the competition you must go to: and submit your first name, last name, email address and accept the terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

2.1 More than one entry from the same participant using the same method of entry will not be counted.

2.2 The competition is open to residents of England, Scotland and Wales only, aged 18 or over, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected to the competition.

3. Competition Period

3.1 The competition will run from 07:00 GMT on Tuesday 5th June 2018 (the “Starting Date”) until 23.59 GMT on Saturday 7th July 2018 (the “Closing Date”) (collectively the “Promotion Period”).

3.2 No entry will be counted before or after the Promotion Period.

4. The Winner(s)

4.1 From all the competition entries submitted by participants who have complied with all the steps in 1.1 above, the winner will be selected at random by way of computer process. There will be one winner in total (the “Winner(s)”).

4.2 The Winner(s) will be notified by the Promoter by email within 10 days of the Closing Date.

4.3 In order to claim their Prize, a Winner must respond via email to the Promoter’s email within 10 days from the date of the Promoter’s email (“Claim Period”), and provide their full name, postal address, and contact telephone number.

4.4 If the Promoter has not received a response from a Winner during the Claim Period, or if any of the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions are otherwise not met in respect of a Winner, the Promoter reserves the right to select a new Winner in accordance with Paragraph 4.1 above. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful entrants. The Winner(s) will receive their Prizes within 30 days of the Closing Date.

4.5 There will be one prize in total which will be a John Lewis ‘The Chelsea Hamper‘ (the “Prize”). No cash alternatives shall be made available. Freesat reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative of greater or equal value if the Prize is no longer available for reasons beyond Freesat’s reasonable control.

5. General

5.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition, temporarily or permanently, with or without prior notice, if deemed necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).

5.2 In the event that you do not, or are unable to, comply with the Terms and Conditions, the Promoter shall be entitled at its discretion to disqualify you, without any further liability.

5.3 No liability will be accepted for any entries not received, or not received in the Promotion Period due to internet or other errors or failures. No incomplete, delayed or corrupted entries will be accepted.

5.4 No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.

5.5 The name and county of residence of the Winner(s) will be available from the Promoter on reasonable request to those enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked “Freesat World Cup Hamper Competition” to the following address: Freesat (UK) Limited, 23-24 Newman Street, London, W1T 1PJ.

5.6 Your details will not be passed to third parties. Your details will only be used for marketing purposes if you have opted in to receive further emails from Freesat.

5.7 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Twitter.

5.8 The competition is governed by the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

5.9 The promoter is Freesat (UK) Limited, 23-24 Newman Street, London, W1T 1PJ, company no 6250097 (the “Promoter”).
