The BBC’s fundraising telethon is back! And, boy, what a line-up we have in store this year. Some of Britain’s most popular shows and stars are coming together in aid of Comic Relief, entertaining viewers and encouraging them to donate to the cause. So, without further ado, here are six things to look forward to this Red Nose Day…
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Comic Relief's co-founder Richard Curtis is creating a sequel to Four Weddings and a Funeral and we can barely contain our excitement. Following the success of his Love Actually follow-up in 2017, the writer-director has brought back another old classic to help raise money for Red Nose Day. Titled One Red Nose Day and a Wedding, the sequel will see Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Anna Chancellor, John Hannah and Kristin Scott Thomas reunite to reprise their roles. Eek!
A Bodyguard comeback
We were absolutely delighted to hear BBC One's immensely popular drama, Bodyguard, would be making a comeback for charity this year. And this time David Budd (Richard Madden) has a new and very important assignment: he must protect the Red Nose...
Tess and Claudia's Comic Relief Strictly danceathon
11th and 12th March
Strictly Come Dancing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will come face-to-face with a gruelling danceathon challenge for Red Nose Day. Together they will attempt to beat the Comic Relief record set by Sara Cox by showing off their moves for over 24 hours! Will they have what it takes?
Comic Relief's Celebrity Apprentice
Returning for the first time in ten years, Lord Sugar is fronting a special celebrity edition of The Apprentice. And, of course, his advisors Karren Brady and Claude Littner will be right there by his side.
On the girls team we have Amanda Holden, Ayda Williams, Kelly Hoppen, Rachel Johnson and Tameka Empson, while Omid Djalili, Richard Arnold, Rylan Clark-Neal, Russel Kane and Sam Allardyce make up the boys team.
