Why can't I record remotely via the app?

Due to a change to our internal systems, we will be removing Freesat ID accounts from our platform from mid June 2024. As a result of this change, the Remote Record feature on Freesat Mobile Apps on iOS and Android will no longer function. You can continue to enjoy recording your favourite shows on your new and refurbished Freesat Recordable 4K TV Boxes (500GB, 1TB and 2TB). There will be no disruption to your viewing as a result of this change. We understand that this may impact your experience with our product, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The app / a specific feature isn’t working. What can I do?

If you are having performance issues with the Freesat mobile app, try the following alternatives to try to fix it: Check your phone has the most up to date OS version as the app may not support older software versions. If that doesn’t work, uninstall the Freesat app and turn your phone off for 5 minutes. Turn the phone back on and download and install the Freesat app again.
