With over 100 free-to-air channels right in the palm of your hands, the Freesat app makes it easy to discover, explore and watch the shows you love. Browse what’s on live TV, catch up on missed episodes, or jump straight into On Demand recommendations from BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, 5 and U and more. Just make sure you’ve downloaded the relevant apps to your device for the smoothest streaming experience. 

Set reminders 

Spotted something worth watching? View details of an upcoming show and tap the blue alarm clock icon to set a reminder so you’ll receive a notification letting you know it’s scheduled and never miss a show again (keep in mind that you’ll have to accept push notifications to enable this feature).  

All your reminders are saved under the ‘My Freesat’ section of the app. Here, you can also find your recently viewed content and downloaded players, keeping everything you love in one easy-to-find place. And to really make these reminders work for you, head to Settings, then click on ‘Reminder Notice’ to pick a time that suits you – from 1 minute to 24 hours in advance!

The Freesat app includes a full 7-day TV Guide to help you plan your week, plus the option to scroll back and see what you’ve missed. If you spot a play button, you can jump straight into catch-up (you will need to have the relevant app downloaded for play back). It’s a smart, seamless way to stay on top of what’s on and uncover hidden gems you might’ve missed.
