Terms and conditions of the Freesat Virtual Easter Egg Hunt on Social Media Competition (“Terms and Conditions”)
By entering the prize competition, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree that you will be bound by them.
If you are entering via Twitter, then Part A of these Terms and Conditions apply to you (“Twitter Comp”). If you are entering via Facebook, then Part B of the Terms and Conditions apply to you (“Facebook Comp”).
PART A: Twitter Comp
1. Participation
1.1 To enter the Twitter Comp you must go to Freesat’s Twitter page and follow the profile if you’re not already doing so. Between 09:00 BST Monday 29th March 2021 and 11:59 BST on Friday 2nd April 2021, Freesat will be incorporating easter egg images in its Twitter Fleets and Tweets (“Hidden Eggs”) sporadically. To gain a single entry into the Twitter Comp, comment once on Freesat’s Twitter competition post (posted at approximately 10:00 BST on Monday 29th March 2021 on Freesat’s Twitter page) with your best guess of the correct number of Hidden Eggs. For a bonus second entry, leave a second comment tagging another Twitter user and stating your second guess of the correct number of Hidden Eggs. Maximum two entries per Twitter user (however you may also enter the Facebook Comp separately, in accordance with Part B below). The winner of the Twitter Comp will be selected in accordance with Paragraph 4 below.
1.2 The Twitter Comp is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. Access to the internet and an account on Twitter is required.
1.3 The eggs that are shown in the original Twitter competition post (posted at approximately 10:00 BST on Monday 29th March 2021 on Freesat’s Twitter page) do NOT count as Hidden Eggs.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Twitter Comp is open to UK residents only (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over, except employees of Freesat (UK) Limited (“Freesat”), their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected to the Twitter Comp.
3. Entry Period
3.1 The Twitter Comp entry period will run from the time that Freesat posts its Twitter competition post on Monday 29th March 2021 (the “Starting Date”) until 13:00 BST on Saturday 3rd April 2021 (the “Closing Date”) (collectively the “Entry Period”).
3.2 No entry will be counted before or after the Entry Period.
4. The Winner
4.1 The first person to comment on Freesat’s Twitter competition post during the Entry Period with the correct number of Hidden Eggs is the winner of the Twitter Comp. In the event that nobody guesses correctly, the first person to comment with the number closest to the correct number of Hidden Eggs will be the winner. The winner will then be notified by Freesat in the form of a social media (Twitter) direct message within 10 days of the Closing Date. There will be one winner in total (the “Winner”).
4.2 In order to claim their Prize, the Winner must respond appropriately to Freesat’s Twitter direct message by email to an email address notified by Freesat within 4 days from the date of Freesat’s message (“Claim Period”), and provide their full name, email address, postal address, contact telephone number and date of birth.
4.3 If Freesat has not received a response from the Winner during the Claim Period, or if any of the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions are otherwise not met in respect of the Winner, Freesat reserves the right to select a new Winner in accordance with Paragraph 4.1 above. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful entrants. The Winner will receive his/her Prize within a maximum period of 30 days from the Closing Date.
4.4 There will be one grand prize in total which shall comprise of 1 (one) x£75 Selfridges E-Voucher (the “Prize”). No cash alternatives shall be made available. Freesat reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative of greater or equal value if the Prize is no longer available at the time of the award for reasons beyond Freesat’s reasonable control.
4.5 The Prize is redeemable in accordance with terms and conditions applicable to and made available by Selfridges. The Winner is advised to read any terms and conditions carefully including those made available at https://giftcards.selfridges.com/Selfridges/ByEmail/Selfridges/TermsAndConditions and make note of any voucher expiry or redemption dates as appropriate. Freesat cannot be held responsible if the Winner’s Prize is no longer available.
4.6 Freesat cannot take responsibility for any lost Prizes and replacements cannot be issued.
5. General
5.1. Freesat reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Twitter Comp, temporarily or permanently, with or without prior notice, if deemed necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).
5.2 In the event that you do not, or are unable to, comply with the Terms and Conditions, Freesat shall be entitled at its discretion to disqualify you, without any further liability.
5.3 No liability will be accepted for any entries not received, or not received in the Entry Period due to internet or other errors or failures. No incomplete, delayed or corrupted entries will be accepted.
5.4 No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.
5.5 Freesat may use the Winner’s social media handle to announce the Winner on Twitter. The surname and county of residence of the Winner will be available from Freesat on reasonable request to those enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked “Virtual Easter Egg Hunt on Twitter prize comp” to the following address: Freesat (UK) Limited, 23-24 Newman Street, London, W1T 1PJ. Requests must be received within one month of the Closing Date. In the event that you are the Winner, you may object to your surname and county of residence being published, and your social media handle being used to announce the Winner.
5.6 Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed by Freesat as set out in Freesat’s Privacy Notice https://www.freesat.co.uk/legal-policies/privacy-notice.
5.7 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter.
5.8 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Freesat for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
5.9 The Twitter Comp is governed by the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

PART B: Facebook Comp
1. Participation
