Freesat Webstore June 2023 TV Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

By entering the prize draw (“Prize Draw”), you agree that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree that you will be bound by them.

1. The Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Freesat (UK) Limited, Triptych Bankside, 185 Park Street, London SE1 9SH, company no 6250097 (the “Promoter”).

2.2 The Prize Draw

2.2 The title of the Prize Draw is the Freesat Webstore June 2023 TV Prize Draw

2.3 The Prize Draw provides the chance for:

One (1) person to win one (1) Samsung 43” 4K LED TV UE43CU7100KXXU (valued at £379) (“TV Prize 1”) when they purchase a Non-Recordable 4K TV Box;

One (1) person to win one (1) Samsung 50” 4K LED TV UE50BU8500KXXU (valued at £499) (“TV Prize 2”) when they purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 500GB;

One person to win one (1) Samsung 55” 4K QLED TV QE55QN85AATXXU (valued at £849) (“TV Prize 3") when they purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 1TB; and

One person to win one (1) Samsung 65” 8K QLED TV QE65QN700BTXXU + Wireless HW-Q600B Sound Bar combo (total valued at £2,198) (“Combo Prize”) when they purchase Recordable 4K TV Box – 2TB, (the “Prizes” and “Winners”). A total of four (4) Prizes are available to win.

Each Prize is a available to win when you purchase the relevant Freesat 4K TV Box via the Freesat Webstore, more specifically:

TV Prize 1 is available to win when you purchase a Non-Recordable 4K TV Box.

TV Prize 2 is available to win when you purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 500GB.

TV Prize 3 is available to win when you purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 1TB.

Combo Prize is available to win when you purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 2TB.

2.4 The Promoter cannot take responsibility for any lost Prizes and replacements cannot be issued.

3. Entry Period

3.1 The Prize Draw entry period runs from 10:00 BST Monday 1st June 2023 (the “Starting Date”) until 18.00 BST on Friday 30th June 2023 (the “Closing Date”) (together the “Entry Period”).

3.2 No entry will be counted before or after the Entry Period. All entries received after the Closing Date will be disqualified.

4. How to Participate

4.1 To enter the Prize Draw you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:

4.1.1 Purchase a Recordable Freesat 4K TV Box (500GB, 1TB and 2TB options) or Non-Recordable 4K TV Box via the Freesat Webstore accessible at freesat.co.uk/get-freesat/set-top-boxes/ (the “Freesat Webstore”)

Each Prize is available to win when you purchase a certain Freesat 4K TV Box via the Freesat web store, more specifically:

TV Prize 1 is available to win when you purchase a Non-Recordable 4K TV Box.

TV Prize 2 is available to win when you purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 500GB.

TV Prize 3 is available to win when you purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 1TB.

Combo Prize is available to win when you purchase a Recordable 4K TV Box – 2TB.

4.1.2 go to the entry webpage at https://news.freesat.co.uk/public/m/tv-draw and submit your first name, last name, email address, order number (included in your order confirmation email) and the Recordable or Non-Recordable 4K TV Box model that was purchased, using the entry form.

4.2 If participants do not provide any of the mandatory information requested according to Condition 4.1.2 when participating in the Prize Draw, their entry will be void.

4.3 Access to the internet is required.

4.4 Freesat will not accept:

4.4.1 responsibility for Prize Draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

4.4.2 proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.

4.5 By submitting an entry form, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

5. Eligibility 

5.1 The Prize Draw is open to residents of England, Scotland and Wales only, aged (eighteen) 18 and over.

5.2 Only one (1) entry per person will be accepted.

5.3 The Prize Draw is not open to:

5.3.1 employees of Freesat or its holding or subsidiary companies;

5.3.2 employees of agents or suppliers of Freesat or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Prize Draw or its administration; or

5.3.3 members of the immediate families or households of 5.3.1 and 5.3.2 above.

5.4 No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.

5.5 In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize. Freesat may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.

5.6 For the avoidance of doubt, you are only eligible to enter the Prize Draw if you purchase a Freesat Recordable or Non-Recordable 4K TV Box direct from the Promoter via the Freesat Webstore (www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat), and purchases from other retailers, stores or online platforms will not be counted.

5.7 The first name, last name and order number you submit via the entry form must match the details in Freesat’s online purchase records. You must not use someone else’s purchase to enter the Prize Draw, nor enter the Prize Draw on behalf of someone else. The time and date of your purchase as recorded in Freesat’s online purchase records must be a time and date within the Entry Period.

5.8 In the event that you do not, or are unable to, comply with the terms and conditions, the Promoter shall be entitled at its discretion to disqualify you, without any further liability.

6. The Winners

6.1 The decision of Freesat is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

6.2 The Winners will be selected at random for each of the Prizes (a. TV Prize 1; b. TV Prize 2; c. TV Prize 3; and d. Combo Prize) by way of computer process by Freesat. There will be four (4) Winners in total on (1) for each Prize.

6.3 Each Winner will be notified separately by the Promoter by email within five (5) days of the Prize Draw Closing Date.

6.4 In order to claim their Prize, each Winner must respond appropriately and within five (5) days following the Promoter’s email notification (“Claim Period”), and provide their full name, date of birth, postal address and contact telephone number.

6.5 If the Promoter has not received a response from a Winner during the Claim Period, or if any of the requirements set out in these terms and conditions are otherwise not met in respect of a Winner, the Promoter reserves the right to select a new Winner for the relevant in accordance with Paragraph 6.4 above. The Winner will receive the Prize within thirty (30) days from the Prize Draw Closing Date.

6.6 The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

6.7 Freesat does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize or you provide incorrect details.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, Freesat, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking part in the Prize Draw, except where it is directly caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

7.2 No liability will be accepted for any entries not received, or not received in the Entry Period due to internet or other errors or failures. No incomplete, delayed or corrupted entries will be accepted.

8. Data Protection and Publicity

8.1 Personal data supplied during the course of this Prize Draw will only be processed by the Promoter as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Notice

8.2 In order to show that a valid award took place:

8.2.1 The first names and first initial of surnames of the Winners may be published on the Promoter’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and in the Promoter’s email newsletter sent to customers; and

8.2.2 The surnames and counties of residence of the Winner will be available from the Promoter on reasonable request to those enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked “Freesat Webstore June 2023 TV Prize Draw” to the following address: Freesat (UK) Limited, Triptych Bankside, 185 Park Street, London SE1 9SH. Requests must be received within one (1) month of the Closing Date.

8.2.3 By submitting your entry form, you are agreeing to the use and publication of your details in the manner described in 8.2.1 and 8.2.2 above.

8.3 In the event that you are a Winner, and you object to your details being published or made available, please contact digital@everyonetv.co.uk. Please note that Freesat must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

9. General

9.1 The number of 170 channels correct at time of the Prize Draw.

9.2 The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Prize Draw, temporarily or permanently, with or without prior notice, if deemed necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual breach of these terms and conditions.

9.3 This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Samsung.

9.4 The Prize Draw is governed by the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

9.5 If any court or competent authority finds that any provision of these terms and conditions (or part of any provision) is invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed to be deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the other provisions of these terms and conditions shall not be affected.
