The BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend

Big names like Rihanna, JAY-Z, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, and One Direction are some of the latest to be added to the line up, and will be performing remotely for the first time ever this Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th.

Young T and Bugsy had this to say about being included in the line up: 

“Big up Radio 1 for including us on this year’s Big Weekend lineup. It’s gonna be a special one and we’re gonna be bringing the vibes to you, wherever you are!”

The Stockport band Blossoms will also be featured in the line up, but to be honest they've had plenty of practice with their remote covers, and have been posting them for weeks on Twitter!

How does an isolation festival work?

Each 'stage' will have its own BBC Sounds web page, and will not only feature performances from artist's homes, it'll also include archived footage from previous Big Weekend performances from big names like Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. You can find the archived footage on the Headliner Stage!
