Since his return as the Doctor for thirty seconds, we can't get enough of David Tennant, so we're binge-watching everything he's in. It's socially acceptable now. Want to do the same? Try these must-see shows!

1. Inside Man

Inside Man is the latest hit series starring Tennant and follows four different people whose lives cross paths in unexpected ways. Check out the official synopsis of the show everyone’s talking about...  

‘In the US, a prisoner on death row is seeking atonement as he faces execution. On a train in England, a journalist is looking for a story. In a quiet little village, a vicar is picking up his son’s maths tutor from the station. All four are about to be entangled in a dilemma that could lead one of them to murder.’

2. Des

Discover David Tennant as the notorious serial killer Dennis Nilsen in Des, over on ITVX. This is the story of his arrest and trial, as the police attempt to secure a conviction and identify the victims that were found in drains at his North London address of 23 Cranley Gardens. Meanwhile, a biographer named Brian Masters begins a game of chess with ‘Des’ in an attempt to understand his motives.  


3. Around the World in 80 Days

Around the World in 80s Days is based on the novel of the same name by Jules Verne and follows Phileas Fogg, who sets out to circumnavigate the world in just 80 short days by train and ship in 1872 after making a twenty thousand pound wager with a snobbish member of the prestigious Reform Club. He is joined by journalist Abigail Fix, and although the story is fictional, they meet real people, including Adolphe Thiers, Bass Reeves and Jane Digby.  


4. Jessica Jones

David Tennant plays the villain, Killgrave, in this Netflix-made Marvel series Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad). Jones had a brief stint as a superhero but an incident involving Killgrave, AKA The Purple Man for any Marvel fans reading this, caused her to kill somebody. Instead, she turned to law enforcement. In the series, Killgrave returns and forces Jones to get back in touch with her superhero roots.  


5. Broadchurch

Broadchurch is a crime drama about an 11-year-old British Boy who is found dead on an idyllic beach. Authorities quickly declare the death a homicide, but soon enough the town’s residents turn against one another causing a media frenzy. Tennant plays out-of-town Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and gets brought in to lead the investigation. This doesn’t bode well for Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (Olivia Coleman), who was promised the role.  


6. Good Omens

Good Omens is a fantasy series about a fussy Angel called Aziraphale and a loose-living demon Crowley who team up to form the unlikeliest of duos. Any guesses as to who Tennant plays? We’ll let you figure it out! The story depicts the pair as lovers of life on Earth, and with an approaching Armageddon, they must come together to stop it from happening. Alongside Tennant, Michael Sheen and Jon Hamm star, and the story is based on the novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.  


7. Doctor Who

The 10th Doctor is often hailed as the best Doctor Who to grace our screens! Do you agree? David Tennant’s series began in 2005 and his adventures included Weeping Angels, saving Queen Victoria from a werewolf, Daleks and cyborgs and so much more. He was joined by a series of companions, including Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman).

Deadwater Fell is a four-part dark crime thriller in which a house fire kills a seemingly happy family and devastates a close-knit community, starring David Tennant, Cush Jumbo, Matthew McNulty and Anna Madeley.
