Freesat Manufacturer’s Warranty: What’s Covered & What’s Not

What’s Covered

Freesat’s one-year manufacturer warranty applies exclusively to our range of 4K TV Boxes, both recordable and non-recordable models. It covers repair or replacement (within the warranty period) of the following components if found to be faulty:

  • Freesat 4K TV Box or Recordable 4K TV Box
  • Power supply unit
  • HDMI cable
  • Remote control

What’s Not Covered

The warranty does not apply to:

  • Freesat-enabled TVs or boxes made by other manufacturers (e.g. Humax or Manhattan), you’ll need to contact them directly for support
  • Boxes used in commercial settings
  • Products with no proof of original purchase
  • Faults reported after the warranty period ends
  • Any product not listed below:
  • Freesat 4K Recordable TV Box / 500GB / UHD-4X-500
  • Freesat 4K Recordable TV Box / 1TB / UHD-4X-1000
  • Freesat 4K Recordable TV Box / 2TB / UHD-4X-2000
  • Freesat 4K TV Box / UHD-X
  • Refurbished (“graded”) Freesat 4K TV Boxes sold directly by Freesat

Additional exclusions include:

  • Software issues on the box
  • Cosmetic damage (e.g. scratches, dents) or wear and tear (e.g. battery degradation)
  • Boxes that have been opened, modified, or repaired by anyone other than Freesat or an authorised service provider
  • Boxes with a broken or altered serial number or warranty label
