Setting up the Freesat mobile app
When you first download the app, you’ll be guided through a quick setup so we can tailor your experience based on where you live.
The app will also suggest which on-demand players to install, so you can access catch-up content quickly and easily.
How to download each player
You can download the players from the App Store or Google Play Store. Just search for the player you need and tap to download. Make sure you’re signed in so the Freesat app can link to the content directly.
You’ll also find a list of all the players in the My Freesat section of the app.
How to keep the apps up to date
The easiest way is to turn on automatic updates in your device settings. That way, you’ll get the latest versions of the Freesat app and the players without needing to check manually.
How to enable automatic updates will depend on your device. For help, check your user manual or visit the manufacturer’s website.
