Why can't I log into my Freesat account?

Due to a change to our internal systems, Freesat ID accounts were removed from our platform from mid June 2024.

As a result of this change, the Remote Record feature on the Freesat Mobile App on iOS and Android no longer function.

You can continue to enjoy recording your favourite shows on your new and refurbished Freesat Recordable 4K TV Boxes (500GB, 1TB and 2TB). There will be no disruption to your viewing as a result of this change.

Logging in During Setup

You might see an option to sign in to your Freesat account while setting up your box. Don’t worry this step isn’t needed and won’t affect how you use your Freesat box, simply skip this step.

Don’t Create a New Account

Please don’t try to register a new Freesat account during setup. Creating an account is no longer possible, this option won’t let you use a different email or log in to your device.

Tried to Log In?

If you’ve already tried to log in, just press BACK on your remote. Then press BACK again to return to the setup screen, where you can skip this step.
