A new software update v1.7.1 will be rolling out to Freesat 4K TV Boxes from Monday 5 May 2026.
This update includes several fixes and enhancements designed to improve your viewing experience.
The update will install automatically, usually when the device is in standby, so there’s nothing you need to do.
What’s included in this update
- A number of small improvements to keep things running smoothly
- Minor fixes and performance updates
- General system maintenance
You may notice a brief restart once the update has completed.
If your device is left plugged in on standby and connected to a satellite signal, it should update on its own overnight.
