To speak to one of the team, please call us on 0845 313 0051. The call centre opening hours are: Mon - Fri: 9am - 8pm Sat: 10am - 2pm

Support is available 24 hours a day via recorded messages. You can also contact us on twitter at www.twitter.com/freesat_TV

If you're missing channels, your best option would be to retune your box or TV. Freesat products have slightly different steps for retuning, but typically it can be done by pressing Menu on your remote control, then selecting Settings and Freesat Tune or Freesat Channel Scan. Often this will restore any lost channels.

If you're having general performance problems with your freesat box or TV, the manufacturer of your box will be able to provide help. We recommend before you contact them you completely power the box or TV off, wait for 2 minutes and then switch back on. Often this simple step will resolve the issue. Otherwise the manufacturer will be able to give further help

Why am I missing my BBC HD channels?

The BBC have made some recent changes to their HD broadcast.

Most freesat HD boxes and TVs updated automatically, and the few boxes that didn’t simply need a 'freesat channel' scan or 'first time install' to restore the BBC HD channels. This can be done in the Menu of your box or TV.

Panasonic customers with 2008 HD TVs and 2009 freesat+ Blu ray boxes should do a factory re-set to restore the BBC HD channels.

Menu key > Setup > Shipping Condition

Press OK to the prompts.

Power set off/on and TV will then automatically setup again.

Both BBC HD channels will then be restored once the scan has completed.

For help, please call Panasonic customer support on 08705 357357.  The freesat call centre are also able to help any customer having problems restoring the BBC HD channels on 08450 990 990.

No, there's no subscription and no contract with freesat.  Just great satellite TV.

You just buy your box and then a dish installation if you don't already have one.

freesat HD digital boxes start at around £70 and the brilliant freesat+ boxes start around £200.

Satellite dish installation costs around £80 for a standard install on a typical two storey house. But if you've already got a dish that's been used for Sky TV in the past, you're sorted. You can use it for freesat.

Are there any on-going costs?

No. freesat is a subscripion-free service. No bills and no contract, just great satellite TV.

freesat HD digital boxes start from around £70 and the brilliant freesat+ boxes start from £200.

If you have a satellite dish on your home that's been used for Sky TV in the past, it'll work for freesat. Otherwise, dish installation costs around £80 and can be arranged in store when you buy your box.

Can I use freesat in my caravan?

freesat is great for caravans; we have full UK coverage and even have boxes that run from a 12V power supply. You'll need a satellite dish - we recommend you speak to your local caravan dealer to discuss which one works best for you. What's more, you can use the same freesat box at home when you're back from your travels. Just connect it to a satellite dish on your house and enjoy.

Do I need an aerial?

No, freesat is delivered via a satellite dish.

Service update 14th Feb 2012

In the early hours of Tuesday 14th February some technical work is taking place on the full suite of ITV, STV, UTV and Channel 4 channels. There may be a short interruption to these services during this time.

Once the work is complete these channels will be restored automatically.

Following this, if you have problems tuning to these channels a retune or first time install on your box should bring them back. For help please call 0845 313 0051.

Why can't I pick up the FIVE channels?

Channel 5 are making some minor changes to their service. Your box should pick up the changes automatically, but we know a small number of Goodmans, Grundig and Bush boxes need a 'first time install to restore the channels.

If you have trouble watching any of the Five channels we recommend doing a ‘first time install’ which should restore them.

Instructions for Goodmans, Grundig and Bush boxes: Press the ‘Menu’ button on remote control, navigate down to ‘Settings’, select ‘First time install’ from the list and press OK.

If you help with this or have any questions, please call us on 0845 313 0051.
