Terms & Conditions 1. ‘How would you spend it?’ (“Promotion") is operated by Freesat Ltd (“the Promoter”). 2. The Promotion is designed for UK residents aged 18 or over (“Entrants”), however non-UK residents may participate; they may play but are not eligible to win any of the Prizes. 3. Proof of identity and residence may be requested. 4. The Promotion will start at 09.00 on 27 June 2011 and will close at 23.59 on 26 July 2011 (“Closing Date”).(Freesat may delay the closing date at their discretion, to be announced using the channels the competition was advertised through.) 5. Employees of the Promoter and those of any associated companies, their immediate family or agents and anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible to play. 6. Entrants may only register to participate in the Promotion once. 7. There is no purchase or cost to enter apart from the need to have internet access. 8. To enter: visit http://www.facebook.com/freesat , and follow the instructions in the entry form. 9. To participate in the Promotion, Entrants must provide their name and contact details and confirm their date of birth. They must also answer two questions on the amount they spend each year on TV, and how they would spend that amount 10. Once Entrants’ entries appear in the Promotion, they will be subjected to an open vote by the public. The five entries that receive the most votes will each win a cash sum up to the value of £600. 11. In the event that two or more Entrants share the same number of votes once the voting period has closed, the cash prize will be split equally between them. 12. Once the prizes have been issued, the Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, or any other circumstances beyond their reasonable control. 13. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for damages, losses or injuries that result from acceptance of the prize. 14. All potential prizes are subject to verification and winners need to meet all eligibility requirements before a prize will be awarded. 15. The prizes are non-transferable and there are no alternative prizes. 16. Entry into the Promotion constitutes permission for Freesat and/or its associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies to use the names and photographs of Players for publishing purposes at its discretion. 17. All winners may be required to participate in such publicity as Freesat may reasonably require. 18. Winners of all Prizes will be contacted within 10 days of winning using the information contained in their registration entry. Those who cannot be contacted after reasonable efforts within 10 working days or who do not respond to such requests, may be disqualified and the prize re-awarded to the next most eligible entrant. 19. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agents exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from any postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to prize which are beyond their reasonable control and for any act or default of any third party supplier. 20. No Entrant is allowed to register more than once, irrespective of whether they have more than one valid email address. Any entrant being found to have registered more than once will be disqualified. 22. Entrants may only play use the account registered to their name. Entrants may not play using another Entrant’s account or allow another user to play using their account. 23. Incorrect, incomplete or corrupted entries will not be accepted. The computer record of the entry will be considered to be the entry. 24. The Promotion may not be available at all times and Freesat cannot be held liable if the website is unavailable at any time. Freesat and its associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies do not accept liability for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network conditions which may limit or prohibit the opportunity to participate in the Promotion. 25. Any other information and explanatory copy relating to this Game, including the scoring system and rules, form part of the terms and conditions of this game. 26. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Nor are they responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, email, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing. 27. The Promoter reserves the right to investigate any complaints that they receive, but shall be under no obligation to do so. Should the Promoter choose to exercise this right its decision shall be final and binding on all complainants and they shall not enter into any correspondence regarding its decision or any other matter. 28. These Terms and Conditions will be interpreted in accordance with English law and the entrants agree that all claims arising from their participation in the Game that they may bring against Freesat will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
