How can I find out what channels are on freesat?
For a large-print channel guide listing all freesat's channels and channel numbers click here or call our call centre on 08450 990 990.If you wish to hear a recording of freesat's channels and services you can call 0844 225 0881. You can hear the channels listed by genre, along with their channel numbers.
Are Audio Description and subtitles available on freesat?
Yes, Audio Description (AD) and subtitles are available for selected programmes on freesat, where a broadcaster makes these services available. All freesat products allow access to AD and subtitles.

How can I find out if a programme carries Audio Description or subtitles?
You can find out which programmes carry AD or subtitles via freesat's 8-day on-screen programme guide by pressing the information button on your remote control when in the programme guide, or whilst watching a programme.
How do I set-up Audio Description and subtitles? Audio Description (AD)
To access AD press the AD button on your remote control. The button will be labelled AD or AUDIO or use an icon with a speaker and a question mark.
If you have a Panasonic TV, AD can be accessed by pressing MENU, choosing the option SOUND and then selecting AUDIO DESCRIPTION and changing from OFF to AUTO.
Subtitles
To access subtitles press the subtitles button on your remote control. The button will be labelled SUB; SUBT; STTL; SUBTITLE or use an icon with a box shape and a solid line or a box shape and a dotted line.
Can I record and play back a programme with Audio Description or subtitles on freesat+?
Yes, if you have freesat+, you can record and play back a programme with AD/subtitles. To make sure that AD/subtitles are carried on the playback, please ensure that you have selected the option prior to recording.
Does freesat carry Insight Radio?
Yes, Insight Radio, the radio station of the RNIB, can be found on freesat at channel 777. It offers everything from daily newspapers, movie reviews, TV, events and job guides plus lots more.
